H3: Arduino + Actuators workshop

Welcome! Here are some details about H3: Arduino + Actuators workshop, the 7th of a series of hardware hacking workshops in London (check out the others on our blog ) , organised by Tinker.it, sponsored by Moving Brands.

What?

Aimed at students, artists, and designers or anyone who wants to learn how to get the Arduino to make things move. The workshop will cover a wide variety of actuators, including DC motors, stepper motors, servos, solenoids, fans and pumps. This information-rich 2 day intimate workshop will be led by Alex Zivanovic.

What do I need to bring?

Participants should have their own laptop, Arduino board and download cable and should have installed the Arduino processing environment. Bring your own breadboard, if you can.

Knowledge of Arduino and basic electronics is preferable if you wish to get the most out of this workshop but beginners are also welcome.

What we will provide

A wide variety of actuators will be demonstrated and there will be an opportunity to experiment with them. You will also be provided with some motors that you will use for the exercises along the weekend and then will be able to take them home.
